My name is Laura. SKINLUX began in frustration: I was reading ingredient lists that nobody could explain, neither why each ingredient was there nor what exactly it did.
How it started
For eight years I worked in cosmetics retail and saw the same thing over and over: beautiful bottles, empty promises, formulas repeating from brand to brand. People bought by the packaging, because nothing else was offered to them.
I wanted the opposite extreme. Small batches, short formulas, and a clear reason for every ingredient being there. If I cannot explain it in one sentence, it does not go in.
Skin does not respond to quantity. It responds to repetition, and to patience.
